About the owner

Gardens are my passion. I had my first garden aged five; a small patch in my mum and dad’s garden, to grow vegetables. Each year, I wouldn’t be able wait for a seed catalogue to come through the post and I have been designing, building and planting gardens ever since.

After leaving school I got an apprenticeship with Birmingham City Council, working in parks, golf courses, nurseries, country parks and city centre ornamental planting display teams whilst studying for City and Guilds in horticulture.

After 3 years with Birmingham City Council (all exams passed!) I did a NCH course at Pershore Horticultural College in garden designing and construction. Part of this course involved designing and building a garden for which I received the college award for Garden of the Year. Whilst with Birmingham City Council and at Pershore College, I was lucky enough to be part of teams which won 3 gold medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

After completing college - again with all exams passed! - I worked as a team leader with Creative Landscapes Hartelbury for 12 months and since 1996 have been able to follow my goal of having my own business in garden design and construction.

I have had over 35 years experience in the garden, over 28 years in the profession, 23 years of which I had been running my own successful business....

...and I’m looking forward to meeting you to plan your dream garden!
